A Vacancy at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The South West London Adult Critical Care Network (SWL ACCN) covers five trusts in South West London (St George’s University Hospitals NHS
Foundation Trust, Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust,
Croydon Health Services, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust) who provide critical care services across 6 sites.

The network is a key vehicle to facilitate and improve equity of
access, experience and health outcomes for patients within South West
London requiring critical care.

The post holder will have regular contact with a wide range of clinical and
managerial staff, administrative and clerical support staff at many levels and occasionally with patients, relatives and external agencies.

We are looking for an individual with good leadership skills to influence external agencies and bodies in decision making on Critical Care services, by working with other organisations in the statutory, non-statutory and private sectors including the NHS England, Care Quality Commission, Monitor, Health and Well Being Boards, Local Education and Training Boards, Academic Health Science Networks, NICE, Royal Colleges, senates, voluntary organisations etc.

The Network team works collaboratively in South West London to deliver projects such as:

• Training and education including transfer training courses
• Peer review and facilitation of forums reviewing operational
performance
• Support with continuity plans and resilience
• Clinical standardisation and equity of access to care.
• Professional forums, training and events for critical care staff groups to
share best practice and access training and development
• Increasing co-operation and communication between critical care units
• Working collaboratively with other London networks on shared
initiatives.

The overall responsibility of the Network Manager is to facilitate and improve the quality of healthcare for the SWL population by improving equity of access, reduction of unwarranted variation in clinical outcomes and provision of high-quality adult critical care services.

Organisational Values:
St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust aims to be a thriving Foundation Trust at the heart of an integrated healthcare system. One that delivers improved patient care at a community, hospital and specialist setting, supported by a unique and nationally recognised programme of research, education, and employee engagement. We expect all our staff to share the values that are important to the Trust, being Excellent, Kind, Responsible & Respectful, and behave in a way that reflects these.
