Crynodeb
• To deliver a comprehensive medicines optimisation service to Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) patients and the multidisciplinary treatment team responsible for their care,inline with Trust policies, procedures andstandards
• To develop the clinical knowledge and skills to practice competently as a foundation pharmacist under the DiplomainGeneral PharmacyPracticeTo deliver a safe, and effective dispensing and supply service to St Charles Hospital when required, as perrota.
• To deputise for other pharmacists in theirabsence.
• To work with Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technicians (MOPT) in the delivery of medicines reconciliation and dischargecounselling.
This is a developmental role, and the postholder is expected to successfully complete the in-house Band 6 to 7 progression programme, which is typically completed within two years. Until the in-house Band 6 to 7 programme is successfully completed, the postholder will remain at Band 6. The postholder should also have commenced a postgraduate diploma programme before progressing to the Band 7 role.
To provide a final accuracy check on prescriptions dispensed by pharmacystaff.
To ensure that work is undertaken inaccordance with departmental policies and procedures.
To provide counselling to outpatients on their prescribedmedication.
To participate inthe labelling, dispensing, checking and other processes involved with clinical trials medicine at St Charles Hospital in accordance with the standard operating procedures following a period of suitable training andaccreditation.
To participate in on call, late duty, weekend and bank holiday duties as per departmentalrota
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacist to join our friendly, forward thinking pharmacy team in the Hillingdon. The position is based at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, Mental Health Pharmacy Dept, Riverside centre, Uxbridge.
As a Band 6 Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services to our patients with the support to progress into a Band 7 post.
