Crynodeb
Apprentices joining the team will gain exposure to a variety of farm and equestrian operations, providing a broad, hands on learning experience in a professional, supportive environment.
They are looking for an eager and committed apprentice to join their team. The role will involve assisting with the equestrian centre operations, general yard duties.
All general yard duties to include :
Mucking out/ keeping yard clean and tidy
Grooming / picking out feet
Tacking up
Feeding/ filling haynets
Filling water containers
Exercising ponies and small horsesWorking - Tuesday to Saturday 8am until 5pm with 1 hour lunch break
No Accommodation available must be able to commute
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Qualifications required
You must not already hold a qualification in Equine Studies at Level 2 or above, as this will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship. If you do not already have qualifications in maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications at level 1 or 2.
Skills required
Passionate about working with horses and willing to learn
Reliable, hardworking and a team player
Able to commit to the required working hours and flexible schedule when needed
Prospects
Level 2 can progress to Level 3 Apprenticeship
Level 3 can progress to full time employment
