HGV Plant Technician - £42,000+OT – Monday to Friday only – Doncaster
The position of HGV Plant Technician operates 10-hour shifts, 4on/4off with some remote working / on call to deal with emergency breakdowns.
Salary: £42k plus overtime
Holidays: 17 Shifts equivalent to 25 days pro rata

The HGV Plant Technician will be working in a fully equipped, modern HGV workshop to DVSA standards and IRTE accreditation. You will inspect, report, repair, and service all the company’s large modern fleet, Mercedes.
Other duties include conducting HGV vehicle inspections and repairs in accordance with DVSA standards and the GTMR, interpreting technical drawings to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults using hand tools, welding, and soldering equipment and safely using the FLT.
To apply for the HGV Plant Technician position, you will need:
Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class 2 (Cat C) advantageous.
Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy goods vehicles, IRTEC L3 an advantage.
Electrical diagnostic skills are advantageous.
Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Capable of heavy lifting as well as using an FLT.
