Crynodeb
Starting in January 2026, a fantastic four day opportunity has become available for an experienced and caring nanny to join a professional and friendly family in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.
You will be caring for one baby boy, aged nine months. He currently attends two nursery sessions each week. Mum will be returning to work after her maternity leave, and Dad works from home, so this will be a sole-charge role. The family also has regular visits from two older children — a girl aged 16 and a boy aged 11. There will be minimal care required for them, perhaps the occasional school pick-up or preparing a simple meal.
The family is healthy and active, and they are looking for a nanny who will become a valued part of their happy home.
The working hours will be Tuesday to Friday, 08.00 – 18.00 (40 hours/week).
The family encourages a balanced approach to development, with plenty of indoor activities such as reading stories, singing, puzzles, and imaginative play, as well as time outdoors, including walks and trips to the park. As their son grows, the parents are keen for him to attend activities and playdates to make friends, so a nanny who is sociable and proactive in planning activities will be ideal.
You will need to be a confident, careful driver with a clean licence and a fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.
You will also be responsible for some household duties, including preparing healthy home-cooked meals for the baby, keeping his areas organised and tidy, and managing the family laundry. While a cleaner visits weekly, a helping hand with small daily tasks such as emptying the dishwasher and tidying up at the end of the day would be appreciated. You should have full knowledge of weaning and potty training.
