Contract: 3 November – 31 December 2025 (3-month assignment)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week | Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00
Pay: £19.85/hr PAYE | £25.84/hr Umbrella
About the Role
Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Learning Disability, Autism, and Hearing & Vision Service. This short-term contract offers a meaningful opportunity to support adults across the region through a mix of reviews, casework, and safeguarding processes.
Based in Keynsham and covering the wider Bath and North East Somerset area, this role requires occasional in-person visits—so access to a car is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out assessments and reviews for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and sensory needs
Lead and support safeguarding investigations and processes
Collaborate with individuals, families, and partner agencies to develop person-centred plans
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement
Uphold professional standards and promote wellbeing and independence
What We’re Looking For
✅ Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE) ✅ Experience in adult social care, including safeguarding and risk management ✅ Strong interpersonal and assessment skills ✅ Basic IT literacy and ability to manage electronic case records ✅ Access to a car for community visits
