Hours: 36 per week
Rate: PAYE £27.82/hr | Ltd/Umbrella £36.65/hr

About the Role
Bromley Council is recruiting two experienced Senior or Specialist Social Workers to join the Safeguarding & Care Planning Service (West) for a one-off project. This team supports children and families following transfer from the Referral & Assessment Service, particularly when a child or young person becomes subject to a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact initiative focused on safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes for families.

Key Responsibilities
Manage complex caseloads involving Child in Need and Child Protection Plans

Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and lead safeguarding interventions

Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies

Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and court proceedings

Maintain accurate records and ensure statutory compliance

✅ Requirements
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

Extensive experience in safeguarding and care planning within children’s services

Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills

Ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure

Commitment to child-centred practice and multi-agency collaboration
