âš¡ The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join a major infrastructure and energy contractor delivering EV charging and energy connection projects across the North West.
This is a chance to play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable transport and energy, working on high-profile schemes that support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
The Role
As a Senior Estimator you’ll lead the estimating activity for civils and infrastructure capital projects, supporting tenders across the full bid lifecycle — from early review to client presentation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assessing bid opportunities and supporting bid/no-bid decisions
• Evaluating project risks and reviewing client tender documentation
• Building rates from first principles and preparing Civils BoQs for pricing
• Preparing and presenting tender submissions
• Collaborating with bid, commercial, and delivery teams to shape competitive proposals
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll have real influence over how infrastructure projects are priced, planned, and delivered.
â™‚ï¸ About You
We’re looking for an experienced Estimator from a civils or infrastructure background who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll bring:
• Proven experience in estimating or cost planning for capital projects
• Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge (NEC / ICE / JCT)
• Understanding of how electrical or energy infrastructure is constructed and maintained
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
An understanding of National Grid or DNO standards would be an advantage.
What’s in It for You
This role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
• Company car and fuel card (EV / hybrid options available)
• Private healthcare and health cash plan (for you and your family)
• Matched or contributory pension scheme
• Discretionary annual bonus
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Salary sacrifice EV car scheme
• Online GP service (24/7 access)
• Life assurance and employee assistance programme
• Cycle to work and retail discount schemes
• Reward & recognition and “Recommend a Friend” bonuses
Why Apply
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking internationally recognised business delivering essential energy and infrastructure services across the UK. Their culture is built on collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement — creating a supportive environment where people are encouraged to grow.
Whether your background is in estimating, commercial management, or project delivery, this is a great opportunity to progress your career within a business that’s investing heavily in renewables, EV infrastructure, and the energy transition.
