We are looking for an individual who has a good standard of education including numeracy and literacy at level 2 or equivalent, demonstrable experience of working with young people in an SEMH educational setting and a good working knowledge of classroom management strategies. Due to the complex nature of our pupils, high levels of emotional and physical resilience are needed in dealing with challenging behaviour and complex needs.

The team at The Hub Schoolare looking for an individual to work as a Classroom Instructor who will play a vital role in supporting our students by ensuring they are provided with high quality teaching and learning or targeted support. We are looking for unqualified teachers/classroom instructors who are already working within education sector or wish to develop their skills in this field. We would welcome applications from those who have experience in an SEMH provision as a Learning Assistant, HLTA or Cover Supervisor. You will play a vital role in supporting our students by ensuring they are provided with high quality teaching and learning or targeted support when a member of staff is absent or unavailable.
The role is up to full time, working standard teacher's terms and conditions (32.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday, term time only. There may also be a need to attend meetings and training outside of these hours in line with the standard 1265 calculation for directed time and these will be paid on TEAL’s unqualified teachers pay scale (points 1 to 6 DOE). • The school operates on a split site basis with our Short Stay provision based in Welton and the successful candidate will be required to cover both Welton and Anlaby sites, requiring a driving licence and use of a car will be needed for this role
