An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Co-ordinator to join the Specialist Haemoglobinopathy Team (SHT); the team is hardworking, dynamic and put patients at the forefront of their practice. We are looking for a Data Co-ordinator who is highly motivated and enthusiastic with a good attention to detail.
The post holder will support the team with high-quality data collection, reporting, and audit processes that underpin service delivery and national performance monitoring. This includes maintaining databases, supporting clinical audits, arranging MDT's, supporting clinical pathways and producing reports for regulatory and commissioning purposes.
The post holder must be able to work with limited supervision, use own initiative, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain accurate patient-level data using approved systems (e.g. EPR, RIO, NHR, MDSAS).
• Input, update, and validate data across spreadsheets and databases.
• Support monthly and ad hoc reporting for SSQD, NHSE dashboards, and internal audits.
• Assist with clinical coding checks and data quality reviews.
• Develop the team’s data visualisation and interpretation capabilities to provide meaningful insights to clinicians and service management.
• Document data management processes, roles, responsibilities and schedules.
• Communication is a key priority, you are responsible for establishing and maintaining robust systems to cascade information, receive feedback and take appropriate action where necessary.
• Liaise with clinical teams, operational delivery networks (ODN), and coding departments.
• Attend and minute multidisciplinary meetings; distribute notes and follow-up actions.
• Support colleagues in accessing and interpreting data for service improvement.
• Contribute to the development of data processes that reduce duplication and improve accuracy.
• Document data workflows and reporting schedules.
• Support the National Haemoglobinopathies Registry and other mandated datasets.
