We have a long history of innovation in what we teach our students – and what they teach us. We have a strong interdisciplinary tradition, reflected in investments such as UKRI Centres for Doctoral Training innovating at the boundary between Electronics and AI with a focus on Sustainability, and the UK National Centre for Responsible AI. Our research environment is world-class with significant recent investments in research laboratories across AI, robotics, computer engineering and HCI. To support growth in the school, we are seeking to appoint two Lecturers (Assistant Professors) with expertise that complements our existing areas of strength. We would particularly welcome applicants whose expertise aligns with or complements that of our computer science research groups and associated degrees in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering. You will contribute to our international research profile through world-leading research, build your research team by developing bids for funding, generate research impact, and support more junior colleagues in their careers. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the high-quality research-led education that we are so proud of and support our inclusive and collaborative culture.
To apply, you will need a PhD, or equivalent professional qualifications, with a strong publication record, and able to demonstrate delivery of research-led teaching in a manner that meaningfully engages students. It is essential that you have a track-record of innovative research in Computer Science and have a desire to build a strong research team with our support.
