Summary
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Duties
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and data entry.
Process purchase and sales invoices accurately.
Support bank and supplier statement reconciliations.
Maintain up-to-date records of income, expenditure, and petty cash.
Help prepare monthly reports and assist with VAT and payroll tasks under supervision.
Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding invoice or payment queries.
Administrative Duties
Maintain digital and paper filing systems for finance and admin documents.
Answer incoming calls and emails, handling basic queries or forwarding them appropriately.
Support with general office duties, such as ordering stationery and maintaining records.
Assist in preparing letters, spreadsheets, and internal reports.
Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the wider team as needed.
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
Entry Requirements
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
No prior accounting experience required — full training will be provided.
Must be willing to undertake the AAT Level 2 or 3 Accounting Apprenticeship as part of the role.
