Purpose of the role:

Responsible for maintaining accurate training records across the factory, ensuring strong governance and compliance with business
and customer requirements. Additionally, this role owns the site induction process for factory positions and delivers training
sessions across the site.




Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5pm and Friday: 8:30am - 4pm

Location: Market Drayton

Salary: £30,000 per annum




Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Ensure training matrices and electronic files including on the Learning Management System are accurately maintained and meet
the needs of audit standards and customer requirements for area of responsibility
* Work in partnership with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Teams to ensure correct balance of compliance (not overwhelming
for operations – but maintains compliance)
* Develops good course content and training materials, ensuring document controls and content is reviewed and updated on a
regular and accurate basis
* Ensures reporting structures are in place that drive action and demonstrate compliance (completion rates, training hours, no
shows etc) escalating to Heads of Departments – Factory and HR where non compliance is met.
* Develops and reports training KPI’s on weekly and monthly basis as agreed
* Works with factory to put plans in place to recover failed KPI’s
* Along-side the training team, ensure new starters/ employees who move role receive appropriate training within agreed
timescales – first 12 weeks, 6 months and 12 months and actively supports hands on with their training.
* Ensures refresher training is completed
* Manages overarching training systems infrastructure, developing ways to become paperless.
* Develop 12 month plan and continually update to ensure site training plan is in line with legislative and customer
requirements.
* Coach and mentor team member in processes and procedures to ensure full understanding, escalating any issues to Factory Manager
and Head of Operations.
* Provide support during audit process.
* Ensures training documentation represents the brand of The Compleat Food Group




Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities:

* Know Health & Safety responsibilities, the site rules, and bring to the attention to issues that could affect own, or others
Health, Safety & Welfare. 
* Work in a safe manner at all times  
* Fully comply with all signage, notices, warning labels etc.  
* Bring to the attention of your manager any hazards or unsafe conditions that may lead to injury, ill health, or damage. 
* Participate fully in all Health, Safety & Environmental training sessions, and Safety Briefings / Toolbox Talks  
* Not misuse of interfere with anything provided to ensure the safety of yourself and others. 
* Ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained within the working environment to minimise the risk of injury to
themselves or others  
* Correctly use and store the protective clothing and equipment provided. 
* Report all injuries, near misses, and instances of ill health that occur to them at work and obtain the necessary First Aid
Treatment. 
* Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence. 
* Set a good example of safe behaviour, particularly to new starters and young persons. 




Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:

* Works to required food safety & quality standards  
* Observes the site personal hygiene requirements. 
* Ensure that correct procedures are being followed, paperwork is being filled out correctly and the quality of product is good 
* Ensuring working area is clean and tidy  
* Encourage good practice and challenge poor practice relating to CAYG (Clean as you go) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)  
* Role holder will be required to be flexible to cover all shifts within factory







Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Standards
* Good level of IT skills (e.g., word/excel/PowerPoint/outlook)
* Good understanding of quality, results and customer service
* Energy drive and determination to succeed.
* Ability to build strong working relationships external & internal colleagues.
* Proactive nature, willing to learn quickly and to take new challenges.
