Main Duties and Responsibilities As the Clinical Lead, your primary duty will be to provide clinical leadership and expertise to the nursing team. You will be responsible for the assessment, development, and implementation of high-quality care programmes for patients with learning disabilities and mental health needs. A key part of your role will involve supervising, mentoring, and supporting your team to ensure exemplary professional standards. You will act as a senior clinical resource, overseeing complex cases and guiding therapeutic interventions. You will also play a crucial role in safeguarding, risk management, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centred care throughout the service. Key responsibilities include: Providing clinical supervision and line management to a team of nurses. Leading on the development and evaluation of care programmes for service users with complex needs. Acting as a designated specialist, offering expert advice and support to the wider prison staff and healthcare team. Ensuring all clinical practice is in line with NMC standards and local policies. Conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating risk management plans. Participating in clinical audits and service development initiatives to drive improvement.
