About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Fit-Out Site Manager to lead high-end commercial projects across London and occasionally nationwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a specialist fit-out contractor background to take ownership of flagship schemes and act as a key ambassador to both client and contractor teams.
Projects typically range around £2.5 million, with durations of 20-25 weeks, and include premium retail and hospitality environments, such as high-end stores and high-end restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage projects from design stage, supporting drawing control and specification alignment
• Lead site operations with a strong focus on design integrity, health & safety, and subcontractor coordination
• Act as a client-facing representative, ensuring professional communication and delivery throughout
• Oversee site teams and delegate responsibilities to one of five Contract Managers, with QS support
• Maintain project documentation and ensure alignment with programme and contractual obligations
• Navigate logistical challenges based on project location and senior management structure
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven experience with specialist fit-out contractors on high-end commercial schemes
• Strong understanding of design phases, drawing control, and specification compliance
• Confident communicator with a track record of client and contractor engagement
• Experience managing projects in London, with awareness of city-centre construction challenges
• Demonstrated ability to balance project structure, team dynamics, and location logistics
• CV should reflect consistent patterns of delivery and team leadership that support strong references
