Junior Electrical Design Engineer to assist an Electrical Building Services team.
To support the Electrical Services team (Senior Engineers, Project Managers and Estimators) in the design and coordination of electrical services for a range of building projects.
You will develop your experience in CAD, electrical design calculations, estimating, procurement, surveying, project management, O&M production, and general administration as directed by the electrical services team.
A willingness to learn detailed design calculations and Revit modelling and other BIM tools is expected.
This role provides hands-on experience and mentoring to develop strong technical and design engineering skills. A motivated attitude is essential in building a career in building services electrical design.

Areas of Responsibility projects and /or design:
• Assist in the design, specification, and coordination of electrical systems in line with project requirements using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Support the preparation of technical drawings, O&M manuals and technical submittals to ABS standards / procedures.
• Assist in preparing electrical estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, and quantities to support accurate project costing.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and sustainability requirements (e.g., CIBSE)
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and other members of the design team to support the delivery of high-quality building services designs across various sectors.
• You would be expected to support colleagues across the company whenever your workload permits, in line with the priorities of the day.
