Grant Programme Management Coordinate the charitys grant making application process, including promoting opportunities, providing first point of contact and review, and supporting applicants throughout the process. Ensure all applications are assessed fairly and in line with charity policy, offering guidance to ensure a positive and supportive applicant experience. Contribute to impact reporting, helping to demonstrate the difference funded projects make to patients, staff and services. Work with the Head of Charity to implement improved policies and systems that support grant giving and drive efficiency. Strategic Fund Management Identify opportunities to rationalise our fund portfolio by removing unnecessary restrictions on underused funds, reinvigorating dormant ones and creating new expenditure opportunities. This will involved close collaboration with clinical teams, Divisional Directors and Charity Finance. Work with the Head of Charity to align grant expenditure with areas of the Trusts CARE Strategy. Support the development of the annual grants budgets and spending targets, with a particular focus on the general unrestricted fund. Lead the creation and implementation of a Fund Advisor handbook, ensuring all Fund Advisors follow best practice, internal policies and Charity Commission guidance. Special Purpose Fund (SPF) Oversight and Engagement Work closely with Charity Finance to manage and maintain the SPF portfolio, ensuring accurate fund records and Fund Advisor information and supporting the effective and appropriate use of charitable funds in line with policy and guidance. Lead on engagement with Fund Advisors, including stewardship, relationship building, and communications that promote greater awareness, encourage fund usage, and support income generation in collaboration with the Fundraising Team. Monitor and analyse fund activity with Charity Finance, proactively identifying underused funds and working with stakeholders to develop spending and income plans where needed. Support the development of improved guidance and processes, and provide regular reporting to the Head of Charity, Charitable Funds Committee and Corporate Trustee Board on fund performance and impact.
