We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Operative (Multi-skilled) to join the Norwich City Services Limited (NCSL) team. If you are efficient, focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

About the role?

This role involves a wide range of grounds maintenance duties, including operating pedestrian mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and ride-on mowers, as well as knapsack spraying and litter picking. The postholder will carry out tasks such as hoeing, sweeping, pruning, hedge cutting, and grass cutting, while also driving various vehicles within their licence entitlement. Responsibilities include performing daily checks, basic maintenance of tools and equipment, completing required paperwork, and promoting equality and excellent customer care. A strong commitment to health, safety, and welfare is essential, with all duties carried out in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and possess PA1 and PA6 spraying qualifications. They must have demonstrable experience in physically demanding roles and be confident operating commercial pedestrian mowers. A strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities, along with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, is essential. The role requires a willingness to work in all weather conditions, use mechanical equipment, and undergo training on all maintenance tools. Experience working as part of a team, driving ride-on mowers, and delivering customer service is desirable and would further support success in this role.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.
