Job Description:
*PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ASSIST WITH SPONSORSHIP OR VISA SWITCHES*
Principle Support are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team with specific experience of supporting children with autism and learning disabilities.
We are looking for individuals who are nurturing and supportive, and that can provide the children we support with the very highest levels of care to allow them to reach their full potential, ensuring that their safety and wellbeing is of utmost priority.
Principle Support want to change children’s lives for the better, and you should too. To be successful in this role, you will have an empathetic nature and be able to remain calm in sometimes difficult situations. You will have experience of working with behaviours that challenge, and be able to draw on your skills and knowledge to deal with any situation those behaviours may present.
The role of a Support Worker may typically involve:
· Meeting the emotional and physical needs (personal care) of the young people we support and maximizing opportunities for their development
· Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments
· Forming effective relationships with the young people we support, their families (where appropriate) and external agencies
· Contributing to the social and educational development of each young person you work with
· Supporting our young people to access social and leisure activities

What we need from you:
· Proven experience in a children's residential / respite service setting.
· Ability to work shifts, including sleep ins and / or waking nights
· A real passion for helping to nurture and encourage young people
· Able to work varying shift patterns including sleep ins and / or waking nights
· Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce / Level 3 Qualification in Children's Residential Care OR be able to evidence that you are currently enrolled and studying towards these qualifications.
