Job Title: Early Years Assessor
Location: Stamford
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 15 per week
Salary: £33,044 (£13,396.22 Pro Rata)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will assess learners undertaking Early Years qualifications, supporting them to achieve their goals through guidance, feedback, and workplace observations. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of skilled and confident Early Years professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of learners against Early Years qualifications in line with awarding body standards.
  • Provide one-to-one guidance, support, and constructive feedback to learners.
  • Carry out workplace observations and review learners' portfolios of evidence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment decisions and learner progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Stay informed of sector developments and qualification updates.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and the wider college.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working in the Early Years sector.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, or assessing in a further education environment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate, support, and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years qualification standards and assessment practices.
