Location: Birmingham, B11
Daily Pay: £105 - £115
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
Are you a caring, adaptable, and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference for children with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)? Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in a Osted rated Good primary school in B11. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with ASD and SLCN
- Implementing personalised learning strategies to meet individual needs
- Using Makaton, visual timetables, and other SEN communication tools
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
- Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with ASD, SLCN, or other SEN needs
- Level 3 in Childcare, EYFS, or equivalent is desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills and adaptable approach
- Patient, nurturing, and confident in delivering 1:1 support
- Driving licence is desirable
