TEACHING ASSISTANT WITH PERSONAL CARE - Required as soon as possible
Band 5, SCP 19-22 - (£24,533-£25,787 actual salary)
32.25 hours per week (8.45am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday and 4:30pm each Thursday)
39 Weeks per Year (Term time plus 1 week)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in a child's life? We are seeking a Personal Care Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school.
This rewarding role involves working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting a male student with special educational needs and providing essential personal care throughout the school day.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in education and training while playing a key role in helping a student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Personal Care Teaching Assistant, you will:
Assist the student with personal care tasks including toileting and hygiene.
Support learning activities in the classroom alongside his teachers.
Help implement his EHCP.
Foster independence and confidence in the student.
Work collaboratively with staff and his family to ensure consistent support.
Applicants should be comfortable with the personal care aspect of the job as well as supporting the student and his needs. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and passionate about education and training.

We are looking for candidates who:
Can handle confidential situations with sensitively, tact and diplomacy
Are personable and professional at all times
Have a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
Have experience of working with or caring for children aged 11 to 16
Can work constructively as part of a team, and understand how children learn
Have a TA qualification or equivalent.
