In conjunction with the Mental Health Lead Midwife work closely with Perinatal Mental Health Teams in care planning and assessment of women and families where there are mental health concerns. Work closely with community and charitable agencies and ensure that women and families are linked into additional support at the earliest opportunity. Engage in other public health initiatives and projects - especially in relation to improving outcomes for women and families with mental health concerns. Contribute to pre-birth planning, Multidisciplinary Team meetings and case conferences as required, ensuring effective sharing of information.
