University Hospital Dorset was created merging two hospitals; the Bournemouth site is developing into the major emergency care hospital and Poole site into the major planned care hospital.

The patient is at the centre of all that we do and our strategy is to provide a pharmacy service that has medicines optimisation at its heart. EPMA (Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration) has been implemented across the whole trust.

The Pharmacy Team
• is well regarded throughout the Trust and recognised as integral to clinical development
• is forward thinking, constantly looking for ways to improve the service and introduce new ways of working
• is friendly, welcoming and supportive linking in with fellow healthcare professionals in the trust, primary care and integrated care system

Interview Date: 6th November 2025

Rotations will be supported by a training package alongside support from specialist pharmacists and accredited pharmacy technicians. You will complete the Newly Qualified Pharmacist training programme, undertake the Clinical Pharmacy Diploma and have the opportunity to progress to the Independent Prescribing qualification.
