Are you passionate about delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, specialist environment?

Ward 23 at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic 23-bedded unit providing exceptional Coronary Care to patients with a wide range of acute cardiac conditions, including Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, and other coronary syndromes.

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care. You will assist with the admission of patients directly from A&E and the Cardiac Catheter Suite, gaining valuable experience in pre- and post-procedural care including angiography, angioplasty, and cardiac device implantation.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical knowledge and develop your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking team. You will be involved in maintaining patient hygiene, supporting clinical tasks delegated by Registered Nurses, and ensuring the ward remains a safe and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to continuous improvement. If you thrive in a collaborative setting and are eager to make a difference in patients’ lives, we would love to hear from you.

Please see job description and person specification for further information.

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.

Please see job description and person specification for further information.
