About the Role

TeacherActive are proud to be working with several fantastic secondary schools across South Gloucestershire who are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or anyone passionate about supporting young people in education. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll gain essential classroom experience — leading lessons, engaging students aged 11–16, and supporting learning across a range of subjects.

Your role will involve:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher

  
  

• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students stay on task

  
  

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

  
  

• Building valuable experience and confidence for a future career in teaching

  
  About You

  To be successful, you’ll:

  • Have a CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or at least 6 months’ experience working with young people

    
    

  • Be confident, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed

    
    

  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills

    
    

  • Be ready to make a real impact in the classroom
