Crynodeb
Work across a range of clinical areas on a 9 month rotation, which was involve working in a range of specialist areas e.g. Community, Renal, Paediatrics, Acute and Home Enteral Nutrition under the supervision of a line manager Manage a varied caseload, working within the standards of the HCPC, BDA and the Trust. Work as part of the wider Dietetic Team in the promotion of holistic patient-centred care. Communicating with: patients, their relatives and carers, other health and social care professionals within both ward and community multidisciplinary teams, dietetic colleagues within the Department and externally, your line manager and Chief Dietitian, non-clinical staff such as catering, administrators and housekeepers, dietetic students and those studying other subjects. Provide clinical dietetic services to the designated patient caseload. Maintain continual professional registration as a Dietitian whilst in post. Undertake clinical assessment and make judgements on the designated generalist clinical caseload in line with the HCPC Standards and BDA Code of Conduct. Ensure judgements are evidenced based, patient centred and holistic, as described in the BDA Model and Process for Nutrition and Dietetic Practice. Plan and organise the dietetic clinical care for the designated caseload of patients including initial consultation, monitoring/reassessment (if required) and discharge.
