Crynodeb
The post holder will work at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust as an advanced practitioner radiographer within the defined scope of professional practice working as part of theadvanced practice workforce. The post holder will possess a post graduate level qualification related to CT Colonography or have completed Module A of the National CT Colonography Academy. The post holder will perform CT Colonography studies to a high standard, providing exemplar patient care, and optimal acquisition of studies. The post holder will perform an initial radiographer interpretation of the acquired CT Colonography study, expediting the radiologist reporting of these where necessary and highlighting cases to the colorectal multidisciplinary team meeting where appropriate. The post holder will support with service management duties such as the protocolling of requests and support the management of waiting lists. The post holder will support the distribution of bowel preparation to patients alongside the safe provision of medicines such as IV hyoscine butylbromide and IV contrast media, working under an agreed patient group direction. As a training centre, the post holder will eventually be required to facilitate training to candidates who are enrolled onto the National CT Colonography Academy modules. The post holder will be required to work between the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital sites. The successful applicant must be prepared to undertake any formal or informal study and training required to fulfil the needs of the post.
