Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself:
I am an 18-year-old young man living in the Gorseinon area of Swansea. My conditions are Cerebral Palsy, Gorlin Syndrome, and Epilepsy. This means I require help and support for all aspects of my daily life. Despite my conditions, I have a great personality, plenty of character, and a fab sense of humour. I am very family orientated and enjoy spending time with them as much as with my PAs. I enjoy all aspects of social activities and like to be quite adventurous - such as skiing, white-water rafting, and sports. I also like going to the theatre to watch shows.

My PAs also support me with independent living skills, and I quite enjoy going food shopping. I use a motorised wheelchair inside the home and when outdoors.

I currently have a team of PAs in place, but am looking to expand my team by employing another PA. As a family we are very flexible with working days/times, but I will list below what an ideal week looks like for us. I would prefer a driver who is over 25 to drive my mobility vehicle to take me out and to school. This is not essential, but my preference. You do not require a vast amount of experience, as Mum will be able to train you as well as my other PAs.

Driver required to take me out.

Male / female preferred.

Hours of work
21 – 23 hours per week (Weekdays & Weekends)

I appreciate that you may not be able to cover all of these, but please don’t let this put you off, as we would still be interested in meeting with you.

Monday-Friday – 6.30am-9.30am (15 hours per week)
During this time, you will support me with all aspects of my personal care, along with my massage and therapy, and prepare me for school. You will then support me into my vehicle and drive me to school. You will always have a chaperone with you.

Weekends – 10am-4pm/6pm (6-8 hours per week)
During this time you will help me with all of my personal tasks, along with massage and therapy, both mornings and evenings. I then like to go out to access all of my social activities of choice.

Rate of pay
£13.13

Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality;
