About the role
To ensure the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of food production machinery in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and production schedules. The Machine Setter plays a key role in minimising downtime and ensuring consistent product quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Calibration:
- Set up and adjust food processing and packaging machinery according to product specifications and production plans.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with food safety standards.
- Operational Support:
- Monitor machine performance during production runs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to prevent production delays.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Conduct routine checks to ensure products meet quality and hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and production output.
- Adhere to HACCP, GMP, and other food safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency and reduce waste.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on equipment and safety procedures.

Package Description:
Machine Setter - Nights
Hourly rate of £12.30 ph rising to £13.84 once fully trained.
Plus Shift Allowance
Shift Pattern
Sun-Wed 2200-0600
Thurs 2200-0500
