Teem Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GCSE English Lecturer to join a well-established educational institution in the High Ipswich area. This is a full-time temporary position, starting as soon as possible and continuing on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills English to a range of learners.
Requirements
• Recent experience working within a Secondary School or College setting.
• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.
• A current Enhanced DBS certificate.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach the full range of GCSE and Functional Skills English courses.
• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons to ensure progress and engagement.
• Monitor student achievement and provide effective feedback and support.
• Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best teaching practices.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
• Manage classroom learning effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and assessment processes.
Personal Attributes
• Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
• A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential.
