How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four?
At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first.
That’s why we’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.
Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW — and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So, whether it’s already in place or just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to join #teamOFG.
Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Somerset, TA20 3AJ
Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Fixed Term ending Sept 2026, Term Time Only
Start date: November 2025
UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship
Are you a Science Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?
We’re looking for an exceptional Science Teacher to take the lead on Science across our specialist SEND provision. If you're passionate about transforming the learning experience for young people with autism and additional needs – this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
About the Role
At 3 Dimensions School, we don’t just teach – we change lives. As our Science Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence in pupils who deserve tailored, nurturing education.
But this role is more than classroom delivery — it’s about leading by example, shaping inclusive teaching practices, and working alongside a highly committed team to ensure every pupil achieves their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and lead Science across the school — inspiring a love of learning in every lesson
Manage and coordinate support staff to deliver effective small group and 1:1 support
Differentiate lessons and resources to meet a wide range of learning needs
Monitor and evaluate SEND provision, reporting to SLT and governors
Work with external agencies to ensure the best possible support for our students
Lead INSET training for staff on SEND practice and developments
Stay hands-on in the classroom, teaching lessons in your area of expertise
If you are excited about providing first class provision to our young people and are looking for a fresh challenge, then we would love to discuss the role with you more.
Who we are looking for
We’re after someone with passion, presence, and purpose. Someone who knows how to connect with young people and adapt their teaching to meet the moment.
You’ll need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A strong background in Science teaching — ideally with SEND/SEMH experience
Proven ability to deliver outstanding, engaging lessons
Experience working with young people with autism, ADHD, or challenging behaviour
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
A sound understanding of current SEND practices, curriculum adaptations, and legislation
Full UK Driving Licence
