Job Scope:
We are recruiting a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join our team in supporting adults with learning disabilities in a high-dependency residential setting. The Support Worker will play a key role in promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life through person-centred care and therapeutic engagement.
The Support Worker will assist individuals with daily routines, social and educational activities, and attend appointments while promoting active participation in the community (a driving role). Responsibilities include delivering personal care, supporting communication using Makaton, and ensuring accurate care documentation is maintained. Working as part of a structured and supportive team, the Support Worker will contribute to creating a positive, safe, and empowering environment where service users are encouraged to achieve their goals. Flexibility to work across a shift rota, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
Do you have?
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Experience supporting epilepsy
Ability to support people with high dependency needs and complex behaviours people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours described as challenging.
