Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager, you will work with a dedicated team to provide care and support to the children and young people in our homes. Your role is crucial in creating a safe, nurturing, and building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, supporting their emotional, social, and educational development
• Taking a lead role in safeguarding, ensuring robust procedures are followed and children’s welfare is always the top priority
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and records to ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards
• Supporting the Registered Manager with staff supervision, performance management, and rota planning
• Taking full responsibility for the daily running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
• Driving a culture of equality, respect, and continuous improvement, aligned with Ofsted Outstanding standards
• Leading by example in promoting independence, resilience, and positive routines for every child
• On call responsibilities on a rota basis shared across team
Requirements:
• Experience of working in a supervisory role within an Ofsted setting
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts as per the shift pattern as well as structures admin days
• Understanding of expectations of commitment around working over holiday periods i.e. Christmas and Easter.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
• Strong record-keeping and organisational abilities
• Dedication to promoting the welfare and development of children and young people.
• Full UK driving licence and the ability to be able to work across dual homes in Warrington and St Helens
