Job responsibilities Be a registered Children's nurse with a degree level education. Have a post-registration teaching qualification and able to support student nurses. Have at least 5 years post-qualification experience with at least two years within the speciality. Evidence of continued professional development. Evidence of change management within practice. Communication skills to include conveying sensitive information to patients and families, minimising conflict, communicating within the MDT. Computer literate Able to independently travel across Leicestershire Able to demonstrate a commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their needs. (please refer to the job description/person specification for full details on the role) Person Specification Training & Qualifications Essential 1st Level Nurse/Midwife Post-basic Specialist Qualification or willingness to undertake Recognised Teaching Qualification Evidence of post-registration educational continuing development Have completed a Practice Assessor preparation day and have recent experience in workplace, supervising their progress and assessing their practice supporting learners in your Desirable Recordable specialist qualification at Degree level Clinical Leadership Programme Acupuncture course or willingness to undertake Have successfully completed a previous NMC Approved Teaching and Assessing or equivalent Experience Essential 3 years Post-Reg experience to include 1-2 years in relevant specialty Clinical experience at band 5 or above Evidence of management/leadership skills and autonomous practice Desirable Participation in Research Development of multi-disciplinary working practices Demonstrates experience of clinical risk management Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Essential Able to demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their individual needs.
