Lunch Time Cover
Working pattern: Monday – Thursdays - 10:00am -3:30pm – 22 hours per a week
Location: Croydon
Hourly rate: up to £12.21 per hour
Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Lunch Time Cover who is enthusiastic and a team player. Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is registered for 22 children per a day.
The successful candidate will have robust knowledge of the EYFS, strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in an Ofsted graded "Good" or
"Outstanding" setting.
Main Duties:
• Main purpose is to cover lunch time break.
• Mid-week stock rotation.
• Update the dietary book with menu change.
• To ensure the setting is clean promptly after Lunch i.e. clean the kitchen floor sweep and mop, empty the bins in Kitchen such as food bin and classroom/office bins.
• Clean up any spillages on kitchen cupboard and utensils from serving lunch or from preparing snack or tea etc.
• To prepare Morning and Tea snacks.
• Serve Zebedee’s meals to each room promptly at lunch time.
• To provide each classroom with plates, cutlery and cups and tidy away used plates etc from classroom.
• To ensure the kitchen is cleaned and utensil wash and stored away.
• To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).
• To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
• To advise manager/deputy of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
• To observe children where necessary and share with keyworkers.
• To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, summer fayre,etc.
• To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting’s philosophy is fulfilled.
• To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
• To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job.
• To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to always uphold its standards, both in work hours and outside.
• To support nursery assistants, students and volunteers.
• To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.
• To carry out any ad hoc duties around the Little Jannah Nursery.
