Our client, a leading early years education provider in Brixton Hill, Greater London, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time Qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, fostering their learning and development in a nurturing environment.
As a Qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using this information to inform planning and provide individualised support
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting open communication and parent partnerships
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth running of the setting and the delivery of high-quality care and education
- Keep accurate records and documentation, including daily observations, accident/incident reports, and risk assessments
- Participate in regular team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education ( NVQ, CACHE, BTEC, or equivalent)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in an early years setting
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and current best practices in early years education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A nurturing and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the setting
- A valid enhanced DBS check and a clear understanding of safeguarding procedures
