We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our friendly team at Bidston Avenue Primary School. You’ll help ensure our classrooms, corridors and facilities are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and safety, supporting the health and well-being of our pupils, staff and visitors.
This is an important role within our school community—one that helps every child start their day in a bright, cared-for environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining designated areas to a high standard
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing as required
- Emptying bins and safely disposing of waste
- Cleaning toilets and washroom areas and replenishing supplies
- Ensuring cleaning materials and equipment are used and stored safely (following COSHH regulations)
- Reporting any hazards, damage or safety concerns to the Site Manager
- Supporting the wider team as part of our shared commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
- Takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Understands the importance of health and safety
- Has a friendly, positive attitude and cares about creating a great environment for children
