Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - Long-Term Role

Position Details

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Experience Essential)

  • Location: Lingfield

  • Contract: Long-Term, Fixed-Term

  • Working Pattern: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Pay: Competitive Daily Rate

The Role: Focused SEN Support

You will be a vital part of the classroom team, assisting teachers and directly supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary focus will be creating a positive, nurturing, and fully inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Duties Include:

  • Providing tailored one-to-one or small-group support to students with various SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH).

  • Assisting the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Collaborating closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure consistency of care.

  • Fostering positive social and emotional development and managing classroom behavior.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Proven experience supporting children with diverse SEN requirements.

  • A patient, compassionate, and highly adaptable nature.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • A proactive attitude and commitment to professional growth.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable.
