Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesnt mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isnt fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Undertake the role of Deputy Locality Manager and ensure the effective leadership of community teams ensuring they own and deliver the standards of quality and performance expected of them. Have line management responsibility for several services within the Community undertaking recruitment, appraisal, disciplinary, investigations, grievance etc., as required that exposes the post holder to emotional and distressing circumstances and will need to work in accordance with CTMUHB policies. Develop robust partnerships with trade union/staff side organisations across CTMUHB. Lead and motivate the Community teams to ensure a high standard of professionalism, efficiency, effectiveness and innovation in the delivery of placed based person-centred care and support. Provide leadership and direction across situations where highly complex ideas or concepts need to be conveyed and implemented across the service in easily understood language. Ensure that effective communication mechanisms are in place within the team to engage staff and staff organisations, recognising the particular challenges associated with a dispersed workforce. Lead the Community teams to promote and ensure a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence is achieved, encouraging the sharing of best practice across the organisation. Ensure the provision of clear objectives to managers within the Community Services ensuring individual development plans are progressed and that effective systems of joint professional/clinical supervision are in place.
