About the Role
As a PBS Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support across the East Midlands, including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Northampton. You’ll work with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions in supported living and care home settings, helping to reduce behaviours of concern and promote wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies and reduce restrictive practices.
Manage a caseload across multiple services, conducting functional behavioural assessments and developing tailored PBS plans.
Design proactive, person-centred interventions that enhance quality of life and promote independence.
Deliver reactive PBS strategies during crises to prevent placement breakdowns.
Coach and train support teams in PBS practices and trauma-informed care.
Provide clinical supervision and facilitate incident debriefs to support continuous learning and emotional wellbeing.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, families, social workers, therapists, and commissioners to ensure holistic care.

✅ What We’re Looking For:
A resilient and experienced PBS professional with a track record of supporting and influencing care teams.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Compassionate, solution-focused, and calm under pressure.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
Confident IT skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Working Hours & Location:
Flexible working hours aligned with project needs and support team schedules.
Based across the East Midlands – including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Northampton.
Occasional travel to Clifton Place for training and meetings.
