The post holder is responsible for assessing, planning and implementingpatient care, whilst ensuring that the Trusts World class Care values aremet Maintain a safe environment in the ward/department with particularreference to infection control and the safety and welfare of patients,visitors and other staff members Provide 1:1 specialist care to individual patients (when required)Maintain care records and other relevant documentation adhering toNMC/Trust record keeping legislation, guidelines and policy Maintain patient confidentiality Prioritise own workload and meet set deadlines Maintain best practice, ensuring compliance with evidence based practice and research Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients and their carers Maintain skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and the Trusts policies and procedures
