Role Overview
As a Retail Security Officer with ZAM FM, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client’s retail premises, customers, and staff. You’ll act as a visible deterrent to crime, deliver a professional security presence, and uphold the highest standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong security presence on the shop floor to deter theft and antisocial behaviour.
Monitor CCTV systems and carry out regular patrols of the premises.
Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Support store management in handling potential security issues or investigations.
Record and report all incidents accurately in line with company procedures.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with store staff and customers.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and site-specific security procedures.
Requirements
Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
Previous experience in a retail or corporate security environment (preferred).
Excellent observation and communication skills.
Professional, confident, and approachable manner.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of conduct.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
