Come and join one of the UK's largest independent providers in neuro and mental healthcare. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.

Active Neuro, the newly launched specialist division of Active Care Group, is redefining neurorehabilitation in the UK. We are seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6 equivalent) to join our growing team at Nottingham Brain Injury and Neurological Care Centre, supporting adults with acquired or traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, and complex needs.

Working across NHS, private, and medicolegal pathways, our SLTs aren't constrained by short-term rehab windows. You'll have the freedom to set meaningful, long-term, person-centred goalswhether that's helping someone communicate with family again, safely enjoy their favourite meal, use assistive technology to reconnect socially, or regain confidence in their voice and identity.

Why join Active Neuro as an SLT?

Varied and specialist caseloads - Work with individuals with disorders of consciousness, cognitive-communication needs, dysphagia, aphasia, progressive neurological conditions, and complex presentations.

Innovative tools and approaches - Join a multidisciplinary team using advanced rehab tech like Luna, Exo Motus, and Arm Motus, supporting creative, integrated therapy and shaping how communication and swallowing goals are achieved.

Inpatient and outpatient pathways - Be part of our expanding outpatient services, ensuring continuity of care beyond discharge and influencing new service models.

Autonomy and service influence - Use your clinical expertise to contribute to service development, best practice pathways, and person-centred innovation.

Cross-divisional opportunities - Collaborate with case management services, care-in-the-home teams, and SLT colleagues across the wider Active Neuro network.

Career development and CPD - Access personalised CPD in areas such as dysphagia management, AAC, cognition and communication rehab, tracheostomy competence, neuropsychologically-informed practice, and clinical leadership.

Peer support and professional community - Join a growing SLT network within Active Neuro, with opportunities for mentorship, cross-site collaboration, and shared learning.

Networking and partnerships - Engage with organisations such as Headway, the Spinal Injuries Association, and wider professional forums to influence and connect beyond your immediate team.

If you're a Speech and Language Therapist who values autonomy, interdisciplinary working, and the chance to make genuine, long-term impact, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of neurorehabilitation as part of a pioneering service.

Please note - this advert will close once we have received a sufficient number of applications.
