Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with essential experience supporting students with diverse needs? Randstad Education is seeking a highly committed individual to join a supportive and vibrant school environment.

Position Overview

  • Location: Horley

  • Role: Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience Required)

  • Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time, Term-Time Only

  • Pay: Competitive, commensurate with experience

The Role

You will be instrumental in the classroom, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and assisting teachers. Your contribution is vital to creating a positive and fully inclusive learning environment where all young learners can thrive.

Key Duties include:

  • Providing tailored one-to-one or small-group support to students with SEN.

  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Collaborating closely with teaching staff and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

  • Helping to manage classroom behavior and fostering positive social and emotional development.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Proven experience supporting children with various SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH).

  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable nature.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • A proactive approach and eagerness to learn.

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (though desirable, these are not mandatory).
