Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking for your next opportunity in precision manufacturing?
The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and respected engineering client based in Wolverhampton, who is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their production team.
The Role - What You'll Be DoingAs a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling), you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Your key duties will include:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines accurately and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
- Ensuring correct tooling and fixtures are used for each job
- Monitoring quality throughout production, making minor offsets/adjustments as needed
- Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and reduce waste
- Ensuring all products are processed safely, with care taken to avoid damage or health hazards
- Maintaining accurate stock and production records using a computer-based system
- Supporting other team members and apprentices when needed
- Promoting and adhering to health & safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices
- Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator - Milling essential
- Confident in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards
- Experience with computer-based stock/production systems desirable
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and teamwork
- Wolverhampton-based role
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
- £13.64 per hour - paid weekly via The Best Connection
