What You'll Be Doing

As a Toolmaker, you'll be at the heart of a high-performance team, working on the manufacture, repair, and continuous improvement of progression press tooling and associated components. Your role will ensure production targets are met, tooling is performing optimally, and downtime is kept to a minimum.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manufacturing and maintaining press tools to tight tolerances
• Planned preventative maintenance - including regrinding and sharpening
• Diagnosing and resolving tooling issues during press operations
• Supporting the introduction of new tooling into production
• Mentoring apprentices and sharing your technical knowledge
• Ensuring all work aligns with quality, safety, and lean manufacturing principles

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in high-precision toolmaking, specifically progression press tooling
• Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Hands-on knowledge of PPM, tool repair, and fault diagnosis
• A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Willingness to support apprentices and collaborate with the wider team
