Full Time: 40hrsJoin the team at Raised in Bristol – where early years education meets community impact.We’re looking for a Nursery Room Leader at our nursery at Felix Road Adventure Playground. This role is in the Baby Room – tell us about your experience in your application. At Raised In our approach centres on child-led learning through play, with a thoughtfully designed curriculum that nurtures curiosity and supports each child’s unique interests. From the baby room through to preschool, we focus on every stage of development—helping children grow in confidence and preparing them for their exciting next steps towards school. This nursery offers a more relaxed feel than larger settings, with just 62 places. It’s housed in a beautiful timber-framed building overlooking the much-loved Felix Road Adventure Playground. The nursery has a warm, homely atmosphere, and all rooms enjoy free-flow access to the garden space—perfect for outdoor play and exploration. We’re just a 5-minute walk from Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill Roundabout, with regular bus links across Bristol, and only 10 minutes from Stapleton Road train station. It would be a huge advantage if you’ve got knowledge of loose parts play, enjoy singing and can bring a ray of sunshine to our little ones. We’re looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner, Educator, or Teacher in Bristol and above to join the team as a Nursery Room Leader. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their early years career into team leadership. You’ll have (in line with Raised in Behaviours) The ability to contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative and supportive environment Children’s needs at the forefront of everything that you do A positive mindset, approaching tasks with a can-do-attitude A strong work ethic, setting a good example for others and supporting your team The want to make a difference, working in partnership positively with your team The want to be part of trying or suggesting new initiatives and ways of doing things High standards for yourself, team and the nursery A reflective mindset, open to feedback and ongoing self-improvement To apply for this role you’ll need a full and relevant Early Years qualification, such as: NNEB NVQ Level 3+ Diploma (Childcare & Education) BTEC (Childcare) QTS Foundation Degree or BA Hons in Early Years Education or Child Development Please note: The Level 3 Award in Early Years Education does not meet the DfE’s criteria for a “full and relevant” Level 3 qualification for staffing ratios in early years settings.What are you waiting for?
