Progression And Academic Support Coach
Hours: 37 hours per week / 38 weeks per year
Salary: £19,848 Actual / £23,780 FTE
Are you passionate about supporting students with additional needs and ensuring they have a positive and supported learning experience?
We are excited to offer this challenging opportunity for a dedicated PASC to join our team.
In this role you will:
• PASC staff need to be able to do personal care or willing to be trained.
• Provide assistance to students with learning difficulties and disabilities in various settings. This includes providing support during in-class sessions, outside-class activities, off-campus experience and personal care.
• Be responsible for specific students additional learning support in line with their EHCP and provide feedback to the PASC team leader.
• Compete administrative tasks, such as updating the learner’s ‘Support Plan,’ ‘Action Plan,’ and tracker. To document evidence related to Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) outcomes, and take notes for records.
• Promote student involvement in enrichment activities, pastoral tutorials, and Learner Voice initiatives.
What you will bring to the role:
• A relevant qualification in care or learning support.
• Experience supporting individuals with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including personal care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to a diverse range of individuals.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
• The ability to be enthusiastic, approachable, and adaptable.

Essential criteria:
• Level 2 English and Maths
• Level 3 Qualification
