Due to increased need, we have an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team. Puddleducks is a school-based pre-school on the site of Castle Primary School.
The working pattern is: 8.00am-4.00pm Mon-Thursday & 8.00am-3.30pm Fridays (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This is a term-time only role.
Puddleducks is a happy, busy pre-school in which children are supported to become independent learners within a child-centred environment. Children follow their own interests and are offered opportunities to be creative, experiment and explore both inside and out. They become independent in their learning and self-care and experience a wide range of opportunities during their time with us.
We require a calm, energetic and friendly practitioner who is reliable and committed to the learning and development of our children. You will be able to build positive relationships with children and parents, have excellent verbal communication skills and a passion for motivating children to learn. You will support children to meet their targets and achieve their full potential through scaffolding their learning and providing open-ended learning opportunities. Experience in Early Years, including supporting children with communication difficulties is essential, as is a minimum of Level 2 qualification. Valid first-aid certificate and safeguarding training are required for the role; however, this training can be provided.
We can offer you:
· Children who will make you smile everyday and love their Early Years learning
· Consideration of your ‘well-being’ and access to support (in the eventuality any is required)
· Opportunities to grow as a professional and access to regular high-quality CPD
· The support of an experienced and dedicated team of pre-school and wider-school professionals
· The support of a Trust, who like us, values its employees and respects our school’s individuality
· Pension contributions
· Access to the Cycle to Work Scheme
· An Early Years environment that is continually evolving and improving
Visits to see us in action are warmly encouragedWe reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
Please note: The salary indicated is based on a pay scale. New appointments are normally made at the bottom of the scale. Progression through the scale is dependent on length of service in line with our pay policy
